Mobile RV repair across Norman, OK and the Cleveland County / Lake Thunderbird perimeter. Same-day on roof, plumbing, electrical, slide-outs, AC, and Onan generator work. Run by Joshua Russell, RVIA-certified, accountable to OU country and the Thunderbird basin.
Norman is the only US city where the National Weather Service Storm Prediction Center is headquartered, which tells you most of what you need to know about RV repair here. The Huettner Drive truck covers the I-35 corridor from Goldsby up to Moore, plus the eastern Cleveland County perimeter around Lake Thunderbird, Little Axe, and Slaughterville.
The customer base splits into three clear groups. OU faculty and full-timers store coaches at Lake Thunderbird and R.B. Park year-round, OU football weekends pack tailgate lots and the Lloyd Noble Center area with diesel pushers and fifth-wheels every fall Saturday, and a steady weekender pipeline runs through Norman to Texoma, Eufaula, and Beavers Bend.
The work is seasonal but never quiet. Hail and tornado damage drives May and June, OU game-day hydraulic and generator calls drive September through November, and ice-storm freeze splits drive January through February.
Hail and supercell wind damage is the big one. Norman sits inside the highest-frequency severe-weather cell in the lower 48, and after every May or June outbreak we see clusters of EPDM punctures, slide-topper shreds, and awning arm bends. Roof patch + Dicor reseal jobs run $185 - $385, and a full Carefree or Solera awning fabric + arm rebuild lands at $685 - $1,285.
OU football brings a different failure mix. Diesel pusher hydraulic leveling jacks left in mud after a rainy Saturday lock up or fail to retract, so HWH and Lippert Level-Up sensor and motor swaps spike every November. Onan generator service is back-to-back from October through December as tailgaters realize their genset hasn't run since last fall - oil + filter + spark plug services at $185 - $285 are the most-booked job that quarter.
Hard, mineral-heavy Cleveland County water is the quiet failure pattern most owners don't see coming. Anode rods on Suburban water heaters are eaten in 12 - 18 months, and Shurflo Aquajet pump check valves scale up and start short-cycling. Anode replacement is a $85 - $145 add-on; Shurflo pump swaps run $245 - $385 flat.

Same-day if you call our Huettner Drive line before 11 AM Monday through Saturday. Most Cleveland County sites - R.B. Park, Lake Thunderbird, OU stadium lots - land inside 60 minutes once dispatched.
Emergency calls during severe-weather events get a 2 - 4 hour response window with a $40 - $75 emergency adder on top of the flat-rate quote.
Yes - Little Axe Campground is one of our regular runs. We handle roof reseals, awning repairs, slide-out diagnostics, and quick refrigerator and water-pump fixes for weekenders trying to turn the rig around for the next trip.
If you reserve a site for a long-weekend stay and discover a problem on arrival, we can usually be there before you finish setting up.
$185 - $385 flat for a full perimeter reseal with new Dicor self-leveling lap sealant and seam tape, on most travel trailers and fifth-wheels. EPDM puncture patches are included if we find them during the visit.
If hail damage is bad enough to warrant an insurance claim, we write a photo-documented damage report at no extra charge while we're on-site for the stop-the-leak work.
Yes, Saturday game-days are some of our busiest hours. We run hydraulic leveler diagnostics, Onan generator service, slide-out repairs, and waste-tank issues for tailgaters who notice problems Friday afternoon or Saturday morning.
Book Friday by noon if you can - same-day Saturday calls fill fast on home-game weekends.
Yes. NRVIA Level 2 pre-purchase inspections run $385 - $585 flat at Blue Compass RV Norman or any other Cleveland County dealer or private seller. You get a full PDF report with photos of every tested system.
We are not affiliated with Blue Compass - the inspection is independent, written for the buyer, and tells you exactly what we'd flag if it were our own family member buying.
Yes - Schwintek in-wall motor swaps run $485 - $785 flat, parts and labor. That covers the new motor, the controller diagnostic, rail shimming, and a slide-gasket leak check.
If the rail itself is racked from wind-load damage during a tornado-warned event, we straighten it during the same visit; no second trip charge.
8 AM to 6 PM Monday through Saturday for the Huettner Drive truck. Sundays are emergency-only with the after-hours adder.
OU game-day Saturdays we run extended hours by appointment for tailgate jobs - call by Thursday to lock a Saturday slot.
Not for routine work. Long-stay R.B. Park and Lake Thunderbird residents typically leave the rig open or coordinate access through the park office, and we send before/after photos with the flat-rate invoice by text.
Pre-purchase inspections and insurance-claim hail jobs need someone present for signature; everything else can run unattended.
The truck stages off Huettner Drive on Norman's west side, which puts us inside 30 minutes of OU Stadium, R.B. Park, Blue Compass RV, and the Lake Thunderbird perimeter, and inside an hour of Moore, Goldsby, Noble, and Little Axe. Same-day landing is standard for any call placed before 11 AM Monday through Saturday.
Extended-area runs cover Purcell, Lexington, Slaughterville, and the south OKC suburbs - 4 - 6 hour windows the same day or first-thing next morning. We do not cover chassis work on Freightliner, Cummins, or Spartan frames; those go to the chassis dealer networks in OKC. Coach-side, we cover everything.
