Mobile RV repair across Okeechobee, FL and the Big O rim canal corridor. Same-day work on roof, plumbing, electrical, slide-outs, AC, and Onan generator service. Run by Daniel Cooper, RVIA-certified and accountable to every angler, snowbird, and full-timer working US-441 and SR-78.
Okeechobee is a working bass-fishing and agricultural town wrapped around the north shore of Lake Okeechobee, and that shapes the entire RV service mix here. From November through March, long-stay anglers and snowbirds line US-441 and SR-78 in fifth-wheels and Class C rigs that are barely moving for four months at a time, so the calls we run are heavy on AC, refrigerator, water heater, and shore-power systems rather than over-the-road items.
The Big O rim canal corridor draws Loopers transiting east to west on the Okeechobee Waterway, full-time agricultural workers running citrus and sugarcane contracts, and a steady weekend wave of bass tournament rigs at Lakeside North and the KOA. We work mobile from the US-441 spine out to SR-70, Buckhead Ridge, and the rim sites along Connors Highway.
Summer is humidity, lightning, and inland heat - rooftop AC compressors run past their duty cycle constantly from May through September, and the August through November hurricane track regularly forces evacuations up US-441 and SR-70. That means post-storm slide alignment, awning, and underbelly work spike every fall.
The single biggest service driver in Okeechobee is rooftop AC failure. The combination of inland summer humidity, long-stay rigs running 50-amp continuously from May through September, and aging Coleman Mach and Dometic Penguin units means compressors, capacitors, and fan motors give up regularly. Capacitor swaps run $165 to $245 flat, full unit replacement with a new Dometic or Coleman 13.5K BTU drop-in lands at $1,485 to $1,985.
Lake Okeechobee well water is sulfur-heavy and mineral-rich, which corrodes water heater anode rods and stains fiberglass quickly. We see Atwood and Suburban anode rods that should run two to three years lasting under nine months on long-stay rigs. Anode replacement plus a tank flush is $145 flat, water heater swap on a 6-gallon Atwood or Suburban runs $785 to $1,395.
Hurricane season brings the second wave of work - June through November evacuations along US-441 and SR-70 push rigs over potholed back roads, leaving slide-out alignment issues, awning damage, and underbelly tears. A typical Schwintek motor swap with rail re-clip is $485 to $785; awning fabric replacement is $385 to $685, full motor and arm replacement runs $685 to $1,285.

If the call comes in before 11 AM on a weekday we land same-day at the KOA, Lakeside North, Big Lake Lodge, or any rim canal site inside the 50-mile Okeechobee footprint. Emergency calls run 2-4 hour response.
Daniel dispatches from Parrott Avenue on the south side of town, so KOA is under 15 minutes and Buckhead Ridge is closer to 45. After-hours and Sunday emergency dispatch carries a $40 to $75 surcharge.
Inland humidity around the lake is brutal on rooftop AC compressors, especially on units running 50-amp continuously through long-stay snowbird and tournament weeks. Coleman Mach and Dometic Penguin start-up capacitors are the most common single failure - they typically die first, masking the underlying compressor health.
A capacitor swap runs $165 to $245 flat. Full rooftop AC replacement with a Dometic or Coleman 13.5K BTU drop-in is $1,485 to $1,985 with the soft-start kit included.
Yes - Lake Okeechobee well water is mineral-heavy and sulfur-rich, so anode rods burn through 2-3x faster than spec on long-stay rigs. We carry magnesium and aluminum-zinc anodes for both Atwood and Suburban water heaters on the truck.
Anode replacement plus a full tank flush is $145 flat. If the heater is past 8 years and the tank is showing pin-hole corrosion we typically recommend a swap rather than another anode round, which lands at $785 to $1,395.
Yes - post-storm slide alignment is our heaviest service window from August through November. Evacuations up US-441 and SR-70 push rigs over washboard back roads, and that knocks Schwintek and Lippert through-frame slides out of true.
A single-room Schwintek motor swap and rail re-clip is $485 to $785 flat. A full alignment and re-sync without parts replacement is $245 to $385 if the rail and motors are still serviceable.
Yes - we work all the rim canal sites and the Indiantown Marina end of the Okeechobee Waterway, which is where Loopers stage between the St. Lucie and Caloosahatchee crossings. Most Looper calls are shore-power, freshwater pump, and slide-topper repairs.
Pump swaps land at $245 to $385 with a Shurflo Aquajet. Slide-topper fabric replacement is $385 to $585 depending on size and rail condition.
Yes - Onan service is one of our most-booked items in Okeechobee, especially around tournament weeks. We run oil and filter, spark plug, fuel filter, and air filter changes on Onan Microquiet and Marquis Gold units in one visit.
A full Onan service kit and oil change is $185 to $285 flat. Carburetor cleaning and gov-throttle linkage adjustment runs an extra $145 to $245 if the unit is hunting under load.
Standard dispatch is Monday through Saturday, 7 AM to 6 PM. Sunday is reserved for active emergencies - water intrusion, dead AC during a heat advisory, or shore-power damage that risks the rig.
Same-day cutoff is 11 AM for non-emergency calls. Tournament weekends we extend Saturday hours to 8 PM by appointment.
No - every job is flat-rate quoted by phone before we dispatch the truck. No hourly meter, no surprise charges, no diagnostic fee on top of the repair quote.
If you tell us the symptom we can usually price the most likely two or three repairs over the phone within $50 of the final number. The flat rate is locked once we agree on it.
Our Okeechobee truck stages on South Parrott Avenue near US-441, which puts the KOA, Lakeside North, Big Lake Lodge, and most US-441 rim canal sites inside a 30-minute response window. Same-day works if you call before 11 AM; emergency dispatch (active leak, dead AC during heat advisory, post-storm shore-power damage) runs 2-4 hours.
Extended-area calls into Buckhead Ridge, Pahokee, Belle Glade, and far western Okeechobee County may roll to a 4-6 hour or next-day window during tournament weekends and snowbird peak. We do not handle chassis-side mechanical, transmission, or DEF-system work - those go to the Cummins, Freightliner, or Daimler dealer in Fort Pierce, West Palm Beach, or Orlando. Coach-side everything else stays with us.
