Idaho's high-desert climate hammers RVs differently than Florida. Cold-snap winterization is non-negotiable - a missed water heater bypass in October can split the heat exchanger and run $1,200 in spring. Summer high-altitude UV burns awning fabric and roof membrane faster than coastal Florida sun (it's the elevation, not the heat). Spring melt floods low-lying RV parks (Mountain View RV Park, Caldwell Campground) and we get a lot of flood-damaged sub-floor calls in April and May.
A regional A1 tech who works the Treasure Valley year-round knows what is going to break by season. We pre-stock antifreeze gallons in September and Schwintek motors in May because we know the call patterns.
The A1 Treasure Valley truck runs out of central Caldwell with weekly stops planned across all six cities. Same-day dispatch in core cities means call before 11 AM Mountain Time and we land that day. Emergency dispatch (24/7) lands within 2 to 4 hours in Ada/Canyon county. Outside Treasure Valley we route to Coeur d'Alene tech (when active) or our partner network.
Chassis work goes to a chassis shop. For Class A motorhomes needing engine or drivetrain service we recommend Smith RV in Nampa or Cummins Sales & Service in Boise. Generator full rebuilds go to Industrial Electric Machinery (IEM) in Boise - we handle Onan and Cummins maintenance only.
